Chateau Shetland Sheepdogs is our fledgling hobby kennel, located in the Texas Hill Country. Despite our breeding program's relative juvenescence, we have been blessed with the greatest mentors anyone could ever hope for. Our foundation shelties are the outcome of their 40+ years of wisdom and rigorous application of sound breeding principles.
We are 100% committed to preserving the true Shetland Sheepdog type while not compromising on the mental and physical soundness any and every canine should possess. We strive to ensure that all shelties bearing the Chateau name conform to the standard, make fantastic pets, are pleasing to the eye, have a great temperament, and are physically capable of excelling in any performance sport.
