PUPPIES

We have a few planned litters a year. Although we mainly breed for ourselves, we do occasionally have some puppies available. All our companion puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract. They are all whelped and raised at home, are vet-checked and sold current on all innoculations, and come with a three-year genetic health guarantee. We are extremely careful in selecting the specimens we use for breeding. We do everything to cross-fault. This has so far resulted in overall good looking puppies by anyone's standards.

We are also very careful about socializing our puppies. Having timid or shy puppies is not an option for us. We start exposing our puppies to certain stresses on the day they are whelped. We also make sure to handle them and talk to them very early on. Once they open their ears and eyes, we move them from our bedroom to our living room / kitchen. They are exposed to all sorts of toys, surfaces, people, etc. We play a socialization CD on a Bose Wave Radio to replicate sounds that dogs are typically afraid of. Once they've had their first set of shots, we start taking them for car rides, out to meet people, they are introduced to our adult dogs and our two macaws. We are always looking for more ways to expose our dogs to new situations. Ultimately, we want all our puppies to grow into well-adjusted, rational dogs that reason their way through situations they encounter.
